On Sunday September 14, 2014 at about 1:00 pm Sarnia Police responded to the area of the Howard Watson Nature Trail and the highway 402 after receiving reports of a suspicious male in the area armed with a handgun and wearing camouflage gear.
As a precaution the area of the nature trail between Exmouth Street and Michigan Avenue was cordoned off while police conducted their investigation.
A 23-year-old man surrendered himself into police custody at about 1:30 pm.
The trail has since reopened.
