On September 11, 2014 at around noon, two young men were observed steeling bicycles from an eating establishment on Christina Street in the City of Sarnia. Fortunately a complainant was able to see this happen and able to call the police with a description of the alleged thieves and the bicycles. Two members of the Sarnia Police Service COPPS Unit were in the area of Exmouth Street and Willowdale Crescent and saw the suspects on the bicycles as described. The two men were subsequently arrested without incident. Both face charges of Theft Under $5000 and Breach of Probation.
Both men were held for a bail hearing this morning.
