On June 4, 2021, the Sarnia Police Service received an allegation that one of its officers had sexually assaulted a member of the public.
Due to the nature of the complaint the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) was notified that same day.
On June 16, 2021, the SIU advised the Sarnia Police Service that they would be invoking their mandate regarding this complaint.
As such, all inquiries regarding the investigation are to be directed to the SIU at 416-622-0748 or 1-800-787-8529.
