A 35 year old Sarnia woman was arrested yesterday afternoon when she was found hiding in a closet in a Brock Street apartment. It all started at just after 2 PM when an officer observed the woman with two men walking on Brock Street. The officer was aware the woman was on probation and one of the conditions was that she not associated with one of the males.
The woman saw the cruiser and began walking briskly along, away from the man, widening her distance between them. She then opened the door of an apartment in a home and went inside. The officer approached a woman sitting on the porch and the woman advised the officer no one should be in her apartment. They entered the found the accused hiding in the closet. She was arrested. She faces two counts of Breach of Probation and one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling. She was transported to headquarters for processing then later released on a Promise to Appear and will go to court September 17.
