A Sarnia Police cruiser was involved in a crash on Murphy Road, south of the London Road intersection, yesterday afternoon around 1:30 PM. No one was hurt in the collision but a fire hydrant and sign were damaged. The cruiser had to be towed from the scene. The cruiser had been northbound on Murphy in the curb lane when a minivan being operated by a 20 year old female, also northbound on Murphy in the inside lane, made an sudden lane change, colliding with the cruiser and pushing it up over the curb. The 20 year old van driver, who is from Sarnia, was charged with Unsafe Lane Change. There was minor damage to her van.
