Sarnia Police Vice Branch began a drug investigation yesterday involving a 35 year old Sarnia woman. She was stopped while operating an E-bike around 11 PM on Indian Road near Rosedale Avenue. She was found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine packaged separately as well as loaded syringes, some marihuana and a digital scale. She was taken to police headquarters and held for bail. This led the offices to search her residence in the 1000 block of Lakeshore Road. When they entered the residence they found four people inside and drugs in plain view. All parties were arrested.
In the end, ten 25mg patches of fentanyl, over 5 grams of methamphetamine, 95 units of liquid methamphetamine and just over 3 grams of marihuana was seized. The total amount of drugs seized has a street value of about $1,877.
A 36 year old woman and a 23 year old man, both from Sarnia are charged with Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Methamphetamine. They were released on a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking.
Two men, age 19 and 24 were held for bail. The 35 year old woman was also held. They face a slew of charges, some jointly, including Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Marihuana and Breach of Probation. They will go for bail hearings this morning.
