Recently, members of the Sarnia Police Vice Branch entered into a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act investigation. On May 30, 2018, a warrant was requested to search a residence in the 200 block of North Mitton Street, in the City of Sarnia.
At approximately 10:45 pm members of the Vice Unit along with officers from General Patrol made entry into the residence. A 37 year old male and a 30 year old female were arrested in relation to the warrant. A 37 year old female was also taken into custody on an outstanding separate arrest warrant from London, Ontario. She was held by the Sarnia Police so London Police could come and arrest her and return her to London later that night to be processed.
During the search of the residence officers located various quantities of crack cocaine and methamphetamine.
The street value of drugs seized was approximately $1700 along with $1450.00 in Canadian currency.
Currently the following 2 individuals remain in custody waiting for their bail hearing:
- 30 year old Cynthia Denise Demarco for Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), Trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and two counts of failing to comply with her recognizance.
- 37 year old Kyle Reginald Cottrelle for Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), and Trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
The two are awaiting their bail hearing later today.
