On May 31, 2018, at approximately7:25 am, a witness observed a male climbing onto the roof of a building in the 800 block of Colborne Road and enter the second storey window. Members of the Sarnia Police Service were dispatched to the address and set up containment.
As police were entering the building the suspect attempted to leave via the same way he entered. Other officers were waiting for the suspect as he exited the building and was arrested without incident.
At first the suspect was identifying himself with a fictitious name but ultimately police were able to determine who he was.
26 year old Paul Michael Morningstar, of London, Ontario, was charged with:
- Break and enter
- 2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Public mischief
Morningstar has been held for a bail hearing.
