The Sarnia Police Service would like to announce the results of yet another successful Shred Event.
On Saturday, May 26, 2018, the 13th Annual Shred Event was held at the Lambton Mall parking lot in an effort to prevent fraud and identity theft. In total, 625 people brought documents for the purpose of shredding that would otherwise compromise their identity. The total weight of shredded documents was 11,400 lbs.
In addition, $1797.55 in donations was raised for the Torch Run for Special Olympics.
The Sarnia Police Service would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s Shred Event and a big thank you to everyone who made a charitable donation. Also, special thanks to Lambton Mall for sponsoring this worthwhile community event.
