Three people were arrested last night when Sarnia Police Vice Branch executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Queen Street just after 10 PM. Two people, a 25 year old man and a 31 year old woman, both from Brigden, were later released on a Promise to Appear. The man was charged jointly with the other two adults with Possession of Marihuana. The woman faces two additional charges of Breach of Probation.
The 37 year old man who lived at the residence on Queen Street was held in custody to await a bail hearing. He faces the joint charge of Possession of Marihuana as well as Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Clonazepam for the Purpose of Trafficking and two counts of Breach of Recognizance.
In total, 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 4 grams of heroin and 42 clonazepam pills were seized. The street value of the drugs carries a value of approximately $2,400.00.
