On Tuesday, 23 April, 2013, at 2:30pm members of the Sarnia Police Services Criminal Investigations Branch executed search warrants at a residence situated in the 800 block of Maxwell Street in Sarnia.
The investigation relates to an incident that took place between the 12 – 13 April, 2013. The adult male victim received numerous injuries that required hospital treatment. The victim remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
The victim’s name is not being released for his security reasons.
Arrested is Mary Muscat, age 44, Daniel Mitchell age 30, both of Sarnia. Both will appear in court today charged with Attempt Murder.
During the warrant execution police located a large quantity of Controlled Drugs. That portion of the investigation is ongoing. Additional charges are expected.
A 16 year old female was also arrested during the warrant execution for Assaulting a Police Officer.
A second, search warrant was also executed in the 700 block of Errol Road East. A 26 year old female is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Breach of Recognizance. She will appear in court today.
The publics assistance is being requested to locate items disposed of after the attempt murder incident. Police are looking for information on two pairs of handcuffs that where discarded in the center city area in the early morning hours of April 13th.
