Distracted driving continues to be an issue and due to this the Sarnia Police Service will be conducting increased enforcement from the 2nd of June to the 4th of June, 2015.
Officers will be focusing on distracted driving and also those failing to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles along with other enforceable infractions with a zero tolerance.
Unfortunately, this problem can turn into into potentially serious consequences.
The fine for driving while using a hand-held device is $225 and with the victim surcharge it becomes $280. For failing to slow down or moving over for emergency vehicles the fine is $400 and with the victim surcharge it becomes $490.
