At approximately 2:30 a.m. Tuesday April 14, 2015 a Sarnia Police patrol officer pulled into a restaurant parking lot in the 1100 block of London Road when he was flagged down by a citizen. The officer was directed to a vehicle parked in the lot with a female driver who the citizen believed to be intoxicated. Officers spoke to the 42 year old female and requested that she provide a sample of her breath. The sample registered a fail on the roadside screening device and she was taken to the police station to provide a sample into the Intoxilyzer. This sample indicated the woman was two times the legal limit to drive a vehicle.
Gail Slaughter of Sarnia has been charged with operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit.
