On February 26, 2015, at approximately 9:50 am two suspects broke into a business warehouse located on Tunnel St. in the City of Sarnia. The suspects then proceeded to steal various tools from the business and place them into a vehicle parked outside.
While the thieves were in the process of removing the tools an employee of the business attended and the men fled on foot from the area. The police were then immediately contacted and searched the area for the two suspects. The vehicle used by the two thieves was left behind and was identified as being reported stolen and containing stolen property.
With the assistance of the public one of the suspects was identified.
As the investigation continued a member of the Sarnia Police Service COPPS unit was able to locate the identified suspect and arrested him at approximately 12:00 pm at a residence on College St. in the City of Sarnia.
This man was charged with Breach of Probation x3, Break, Enter and commit, Possession of Stolen Property over $5000 as well as Theft Over $5000 and was held for a bail hearing this morning.
