On Saturday, October 11, 2014 at about 11:30 am a Sarnia Police officer noticed a 22 year old Sarnia man riding his skateboard down the centre line of Devine Street near Brock Street. The man was obstructing traffic and the officer was concerned for the skateboarder’s safety. The officer attempted to speak to the man who became belligerent and would not identify himself. The man was eventually told he was being arrested for causing a disturbance and obstructing. During the arrest the man became aggressive and a fight ensued. The officer was punched in the face and at one point was put in a headlock. Other officers responded and during the process of handcuffing the man one of the officers were spat upon by the man.
Jeffory Lyle SISLER faces charges of Causing a Disturbance, Obstruct a Police Officer and two counts of Assaulting a Peace Officer.
