On Wednesday September 24, 2014 at about 7:00pm Sarnia Vice officers, assisted by C.O.P.P.S and uniform officers, executed a drug warrant in the 300 block of London Road. As officers approached the home they saw the 23 year old male named on the warrant leave riding a bicycle. The 23 year old Sarnia man was arrested a short distance away and searched. Officers found a small amount of suspected marihuana, 6 Fentanyl patches and over $1,500.00.
A search of the residence resulted in more Fentanyl patches and over 18 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine. The total street value of all drugs seized is estimated at $3,200.00.
The man faces two counts of Trafficking and one count of Possession of a Controlled substance. He is being held for a bail hearing.
Later the same night at about 11:30pm Vice officers assisted by Uniform patrol officers attempted to stop a vehicle involved in a drug investigation. Uniform Patrol officers attempted to stop the SUV on Exmouth Street but the driver fled. He was stopped on Gordon Street and when officers attempted to arrest him he resisted and a struggle took place.
A search of the man’s SUV revealed approximately 139 grams of suspected cocaine and 6 grams of suspected crack cocaine. The total street value is estimated at just over $17,000.00.
The 52 year old Sarnia man is being held pending a bail hearing and faces a charge of Trafficking and one count of Resisting Arrest.
