On Sunday September 28, 2014 the 25th Annual Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 429 Indian Road. This annual Memorial service is held in conjunction with the National Police and Peace Officers Memorial held in Ottawa on the same day.
This annual service remembers officers that have died in the line of duty during the previous year. To date there are over 600 names on the Honour Roll.The last day of September was officially proclaimed as” Police and Peace Officers’ ‘National Memorial Day” by the Government of Canada on September 24, 1998.
The service will be conducted by the Sarnia Police Service Chaplain Rev.Dr. Roger Ellis , who is also the Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Sarnia Police Service would like to extend an invitation to members of the community who would like to attend the service.
