Sarnia Police Service responded to a single vehicle collision at the corner of Confederation Street and Finch Drive at about 7:00PM last night August14, 2014.
The 72 year old female driver of the vehicle had swerved to avoid running over a cat on Finch Drive. The car left the roadway and struck a stone fence causing a large hole in the fence. During conversation with the driver the officer on scene could smell alcohol on the lady’s breath and a roadside test was conducted. The lady provided a sample and registered a “Warn” on the device. She was issued a three day license suspension and also issued a ticket for Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
