Sarnia Police responded to a disturbance last night, Tuesday July 8, 2014 at about 11:30 PM in the Cardiff subdivision. Officers discovered a very intoxicated 17 year old young lady who was very belligerent. She was arrested to Prevent a Breach of the Peace and taken to the Police Station. The intention was to have her sober up and release her. However, she continued to be belligerent and while being escorted to lockup she kicked the officer booking her in. As the handcuffs were being removed the young lady then tried to punch the same officer. The young lady has now been charged with assaulting a Police Officer and held for a bail hearing.
