Update Regarding Missing Person Anthony Roberston

On December 29, 2022, Anthony Robertson, 75 years of age, went missing from his central Sarnia residence. Family and police shared immediate concerns for Mr. Roberston’s well-being due to his age and the fact that he is a vulnerable person.

The Sarnia Police Service immediately commenced as extensive ground search to locate Mr. Roberstson, over six days, and multiple resources were deployed toward this effort including:

  • Sarnia Police Service Emergency Response Team
  • Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch
  • Sarnia Police Service Uniformed and Special Constables
  • Sarnia Police Service Drone
  • Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team
  • OPP K-9 Unit
  • OPP Helicopter
  • London Search and Rescue
  • Huron Search and Rescue
  • Sarnia Fire
  • Point Edward Fire

Despite the exhaustive search efforts Mr. Roberston has not been located.

The Sarnia Police Service ground search efforts have been completed and we are transitioning to investigative avenues to locate Mr. Robertson. This includes continued requests for public assistance for any information and following up on any investigative leads that may arise.

At this time Mr. Robertson’s disappearance is not considered suspicious or related to any other missing person investigation.
