Late in 2021, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit entered into a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Investigation regarding an individual allegedly trafficking large quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine from a residence on Leopold Drive.

On April 7, 2022, officers applied for and were granted a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant for the suspected residence on Leopold Drive.

At approximately 9:50 PM, April 7, 2022, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit, with assistance from members of the Emergency Response Team, made entry into the residence to execute the warrant. Upon entry several individuals were located within the residence.

As officers dealt with the suspects one of the male individuals was hesitant to provide his proper name and instead provided a fake name. Officers attempted to confirm his identity and after a period of time did. It was also determined that this person had an outstanding warrant. As he was being escorted out of the residence the male began to physically resist police and spat directly into the face of one of the officers. The suspect was brought back under control with no further incident.

A search of the residence located the following items:

– 118.94 grams of fentanyl with a street value of $23,788.

– 21.7 grams of “raw” fentanyl with an approximate street value of $78,400.

– 2.77 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $277.

$23,475 CDN currency.

Due to this investigation the following individuals the following face the alleged charges:

  1. Jordan Lawrence Nahmabin-Shaw, 31 years of age, of Sarnia, faces two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00, and one count of failing to comply with a release order.
