Yesterday afternoon the Inn of the Good Shepherd advised that the 2021 Cops for Cans Event was an amazing success.
In total the event collected 15,098 pounds of food from all locations. This year’s total smashed the previous record of 11,879 pounds set a few years ago.
The Sarnia Police Service would first like to thank our local Real Canadian Superstore, Walmart, and No Frills for helping so much to achieve our mission.
Most importantly, the Sarnia Police Service would like to thank those that came out and gave. It truly opens your eyes when you can see that there is good in the world despite all the awful things we hear about each day.
Our community has always been known for its generosity and it has been proven again. The Sarnia Police Service cannot thank you enough for helping us help the Inn of the Good Shepherd. All this food will go a long way to ensure people who need help have something on the table this Christmas.
Thank you again from everyone at the Sarnia Police Service!
