On September 21, 2021, at approximately 3:15 AM, an individual entered into the lobby of the Sarnia Bay Marina. Once inside, the suspect was able to get into an office and pried a key box open from the wall. The suspect located several sets of keys, one of which operated a vehicle that belonged to the marina.
The suspect then located the vehicle in the parking lot and using a set of keys drove away.
Later that morning, at approximately 11:00 AM, the stolen vehicle was observed being driven on Lasalle Line in an erratic manner. Officers immediately attended the area and were able to locate the vehicle in a parking lot on Williams Drive with the driver still present. The lone male was taken into custody, by Sarnia Police, without incident.
The accused, Noah Stewart Joseph, 35 years of age, of Sarnia, faces the following charges:
1) Break and enter to commit and indictable offence
2) Theft of a motor vehicle
3) Three counts of breach of probation
4) Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
5) Three counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada (was prohibited from driving for life)
Noah Stewart Joseph remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
