The Sarnia Police Service responded to approximately 311 calls for service over the course of the Victoria Day Long Weekend. Calls included the following:
8 – 911 Hang-ups
22 – Alarms
4 – Animal complaints
7 – Assaults
16 – Disturb the peace
29 – Domestic disputes
5 – Family disputes
9 – Neighbour disputes
8 – Noise complaints
22 – Person welfare/well-being checks
8 – Thefts
10 – Traffic complaints
16 – Trespass to property
23 – Unwanted persons
Road officers conducted approximately 30 routine traffic stops for various driving related concerns. Officers issued 22 Provincial Offence Notices (tickets) over the weekend for various offences.
