On March 1, 2021, the Sarnia Police Service received a complaint of an assault that had taken place at an address in Brights Grove involving individuals known to each other. The investigation revealed that firearms were present at this address.
To ensure officer and public safety, the Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit along with the Sarnia Police Emergency Response Team were contacted to execute a search warrant and gain safe entry into the residence in question due to the presence of firearms.
Ultimately the search warrant was executed on March 2, 2021, without incident. A search of the residence located a firearm, ammunition, a functioning Taser, and other weapons.
As result three individuals were charged. Names will not be released at this time due to the fact that this investigation is still ongoing.
