Date: November 29, 2019

A 34 year old male from Sarnia is facing numerous weapons charges after an early morning disturbance.

On November 29th, 2019 at approximately 12:45am, the accused in this matter was at an address in 100 block of Capel Street when he became involved in a verbal altercation with the 23 year old female victim in this case. Another female became involved in this argument and when the victim walked towards her, she was pepper sprayed in the face by the accused. The victim ran to the basement and the accused moved behind the couch where he set down a guitar case that he carried into the residence. The accused removed a sawed off 12 gauge shotgun from the case and began loading rounds into the shotgun.

The victim then re-attended the main floor with two baseball bats making her way towards the other female she had the dispute with. As other guests intervened, the accused at this time pepper sprayed the victim once more in the face causing her to fall to the ground. He then put the shot gun back in the case and placed it in the trunk of a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. The accused made his way towards another vehicle that was parked on the roadway where he threw the can of pepper spray in the back seat and then sat in this vehicle.

Police were dispatched to this disturbance call although the accused fled the area before officers began conducting their investigation. Police seized the firearm and pepper spray in this case.

As a result, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Brennan Lee Erdodi for the offences of:

  • Possess Weapon (bear spray) for Dangerous Purpose
