Over the course of the weekend the Sarnia Police Service responded to 261 calls for service. Calls included the following:
6 – 911 Hang-ups
21 – Alarms
11 – Ambulance Assists
8 – Break and Enter Reports
7 – Disturb the Peace
10 – Domestic Disturbances
7 – Noise Complaints
14 – Welfare / Well-Being Checks
9 – Thefts
14 – Traffic Enforcement
19 – Unwanted Persons
Road officers conducted approximately 36 routine traffic stops for various driving related concerns. Officers issued 69 Provincial Offence Notices (tickets) over the weekend. Officers conducted targeted enforcement for speeding violations. Of the 69 tickets written over the weekend 60 were for speeding.
