Earlier this morning, at approximately 4:45 am, officers from the Sarnia Police Service responded to a collision at the intersection of London Road and Pontiac Court. According to the report, a vehicle traveling eastbound on London Road made a left hand turn to head northbound onto Pontiac Court.
In doing so the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing through the crosswalk at the time.
The pedestrian did sustain injuries and was transported to hospitals for observation. Since then she has been discharged.
The driver of the motor vehicle, a 65 year old female from Sarnia, has since been charged with failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian lawfully within a crosswalk.
