A 20 year old man riding his bike along the north sidewalk of Wellington Street near the Clearwater arena last night around 7:40 PM and was struck by a 4 door, yellow coloured Nissan type vehicle. The driver of the Nissan had been exiting the private drive of the arena when it collided with the cyclist. The Nissan driver reversed then drove around the cyclist, exiting onto westbound Wellington Street. The driver did not stop to identify themselves or render assistance to the downed cyclist.
The cyclist received cuts and scrapes to his elbow, forearm, hand and knee. His bike ended up with a flat tire and bent spokes. He attended at police headquarters with his injuries to report the collision.
