On the 30 day of March at 11:10 p.m. police responded to a suicidal male walking into the freezing water at Centennial Park. Upon arrival P.C. Darnell found the male party up to his shoulders in water and continuing to walk out into the river. P.C. Darnell entered the water and rushed out to the male who was in a dangerous situation. P.C. Darnell was able to grab onto the male and help him to shore. The male party was taken to Bluewater Health for treatment. After a warm shower and change of clothes, P.C. Darnell finished his night shift on the road.
