On April 23, 2018, at approximately 11:40 pm, employees at a business located in the 400 block of Brock Street were still present at their compound when they observed two males gain access to their compound. The two suspects were rummaging through the yard collecting wires and pipes.
The employees contacted the police who arrived on scene only to find that the suspects fled the area. Fortunately, the employees kept an eye on the direction of travel of one of the suspects. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect after a short foot pursuit. It is unknown who the second suspect is at this time.
After a search of the accused, officers located what was believed to be several Hydromorph Contin pills.
A 30 year old man, from Sarnia, was taken into custody and is being held for a bail hearing later on this date.
The accused is facing the following charges:
- Break and Enter
- Possession of Break and Enter Instruments
- Breach of Recognizance
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
