On March 20, 2018, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Branch entered into an investigation regarding the trafficking of large quantities of marihuana in the City of Sarnia.
Officers from the Vice Unit were able to locate the suspect vehicle in question and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at approximately 11:30 pm in the City of Sarnia.
The two male suspects, an 18 year old and a 24 year, both from Sarnia, were taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle located approximately two and a half pounds of marihuana with a street value of just over $11,800.00 along with $1675.00 dollars in Canadian currency.
Both males have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marihuana and remain in police custody waiting to be transferred over to court for their bail hearing later this morning.
