Arrest Made Regarding Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Pedestrian

At approximately 1:30 am, on March 18, 2018, the Sarnia Police Service, along with Sarnia Fire, and Lambton Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision on Lakeshore Road just west of Blackwell Side Road. Upon arrival, a 29 year old male from Sarnia was located on scene having been struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle in question had left the scene.

The 29 year old male was transported to the local hospital where he was then transferred to a London hospital for his injuries. He remains in hospital in serious condition.

Members of the Sarnia Police Service Traffic Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch continue their investigation into the collision.

On March 19, 2018, Boady Santavy, 20 years of age, from Sarnia, turned himself in at approximately 9:50 am. Boady Santavy was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for failing to remain at the scene and has been released by the Officer Incharge via a Promise to Appear.
