At approximately 10: 45 pm, on Thursday January 11, 2018 the Sarnia Fire and Rescue along with the Sarnia Police Service were called to a residential fire in the 500 block on Confederation Street. The fire started in a detached garage and spread to the residence.
There were no injuries to any person as a result of this incident, however a household dog received injuries and was attended to by an on-call veterinarian.
The fire was brought under control by Sarnia Fire and Rescue.
The immediate area remains closed to traffic on Confederation between Russell Street and Conrad Street pending further investigation in the morning to determine a cause.
