On February 11th, 2017 at approximately 2:40am, the Sarnia Police Service responded to the area of Mayfair Drive, between Lansdowne Avenue and Preston Avenue in regard to a single motor vehicle collision where a car struck a hydro pole. Bluewater Power also attended this scene and replaced the damaged hydro pole.
As result of this collision, a 26 year old male from Sarnia has been charged with Careless Driving under The Highway Traffic Act. This offence carries a fine of $490.00 and gain of 6 demerit points upon conviction.
A 26 year old male passenger received minor injuries. The driver in this case was not injured.
