On February 7, 2016, at approximately 7:20 am members of the Sarnia Police Service General Patrol and Traffic Division responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle that was exiting a driveway on the west side of Indian Road just north of Confederation Street. As the vehicle proceeded to turn right and travel southbound on Indian Road it struck a 33 year old female pedestrian walking on the sidewalk, also travelling southbound.
The pedestrian ended up underneath the vehicle but with the assistance of the Sarnia Fire Department and Lambton Paramedics the 33 year old female was removed from under the vehicle and transported to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The female has since been transported to a London hospital for further care. The driver of the motor vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
