On January 13, 2017 members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit requested a Search Warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act for an address in the 2900 block of Confederation Line, in the City of Sarnia, for the controlled substance of methamphetamine.
As part of this investigation and prior to conducting the search of the residence, one of the suspects in the matter, Brian Rice, 27 years of age, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking by members of the COPPS Unit during a traffic stop.
The Vice Unit, along with members of the Criminal Investigation Branch, made entry into the home at approximately 5:50 pm. On scene, officers encountered four individuals while searching the residence. Two people were released from the scene unconditionally while two others, Kimberly Brennan, 45 years of age, and Brian Richard White, 44 years of age, were taken into custody.
During the search, officers were able to locate approximately 28 grams of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of $2800.00, 52 grams of cannabis marihuana with a street value of $520.00 along with small quantities of crack cocaine, hash oil, and shatter. Also located was approximately $1300.00 in cash.
Due to the investigation 2 males and 1 female face the following charges:
Kimberley Brennan: three counts for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and four counts for possession of a controlled substance.
Brian Rice: two counts for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, 3 counts for possession of a controlled substance, and 4 counts of breach of probation.
Brian Richard White: three counts for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and four counts for possession of a controlled substance.
All three were held for a bail hearing.
