On December 21st, 2016 at approximately 3:30am, the Sarnia Police Service responded to the 1700 block of St. Clair Parkway where a 53 year old female and a 16 year old female had been stabbed. Additionally, a 22 year old male appeared to have stabbed himself.
All three parties were known to each other and all three were taken to hospital for treatment.
The 22 year old male has been remanded into custody while in hospital care and under guard. He has been charged with two counts of Assault with a Weapon, two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Possession of a Weapon for the Purpose of Committing an Offence.
To protect the identity of the victims, his name will not be released.
