On November 7, 2016, an individual attempted to steal Chase the goat from the Animal Farm located in Canatara Park. The goat was located within the Animal Farm but a yellow extension cord was found wrapped around its neck. The animal was not injured.
The investigation has continued and officers were able to determine from information received that the suspect was a young teenage male between the ages of 15-17 years old. He was short in stature with a medium build, short buzzed hair, and was wearing a green shirt and gray pants. The suspect was observed leaving the area on a medium sized gray bike after being confronted.
