Improper Plate Leads to Trafficking of Drug Charge

On September 30, 2016, at approximately 5:50 pm, a member of the Sarnia Police Service COPPS Unit conducted a traffic stop on London Road, in the City of Sarnia, regarding a motor vehicle that was being operated with an improper plate.

Due to the offence the driver was arrested and secondary to a search of his person the officer located what was suspected to be crystal methamphetamine. The approximate street value was estimated to be $1200.00

The accused, a 47 year old man from Sarnia, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation. He was subsequently held for a bail hearing.
