On September 11, 2016, at approximately 8:45 am, a local cab driver, 72 years of age, was robbed by his fare after having driven him around.
The Sarnia Police Service was able to release a photo of the suspect from surveillance video and again, thanks to the public, was able to determine who the suspect was.
On September 29, 2016, at approximately 4:55 pm, a member of the Sarnia Police Service COPPS Unit was able to locate the suspect in the area of Christina Street and Wellington Road.
Justin Thompson, 22 years of age, is currently in custody and is facing charges for Breach of Probation, Robbery with Violence and Assault with a Weapon. He has been remanded into custody.
