MVC causing major injuries – passenger airlifted

Confederation Line, between Waterworks Rd and Mandaumin Rd, is currently closed to traffic as a result of a Motor Vehicle Collision which occurred just before 10:00 AM on September 4, 2016.

The Sarnia Police Service traffic branch has been called in to investigate the collision. Preliminary investigation shows that a motor vehicle left the roadway near the 2800 block of Confederation Line, and collided with a tree, causing damage to the motor vehicle and injuring all three occupants, who are in their mid-twenties.

The male driver and a female passenger were transported to Bluewater Health by EMS with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The other female passenger was air lifted to London’s Victoria Hospital with major injuries.

Confederation Line is not expected to be reopened until the evening hours. Please avoid this area, and take alternate routes.
