This morning at approximately 2:15 am Sarnia Police, Fire and Lambton Paramedics responded to a single vehicle rollover on Indian Road south of Plank Road in the City of Sarnia. A lone male driver was found inside a vehicle that had rolled into the ditch. After being removed from the vehicle the driver was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Through further investigation, reasonable grounds had been formulated that the driver of the vehicle was impaired and an intoxilyzer test was requested which was refused by the suspect.
Thus, a Dylan Lauwereys, 21 years of age, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failing to supply a sample of breath. His first court appearance is scheduled for March 22, 2016 at 9:30 am.
Indian Road remains closed between Churchill and Plank Road while members of the Sarnia Police Service Traffic Branch and Forensic Division continue to process the scene. It is scheduled to open later this morning.
