On February 7, 2016, shortly after 7:00 am, the Sarnia Police Service was contacted to attend the 200 block of Cromwell Street in the City of Sarnia regarding a Break & Enter in progress. Information received was that a lone male was attempting to jimmy open a door on the residence. When the man was not successful at that he then attempted to kick the door open.
Still not successful, he got onto the roof and attempted to gain access to the residence through a window by removing the screen. Once police arrived on scene they located the man at the entrance of the residence and then proceeded to arrest him.
The 34 year old Sarnia man was charged with 5 counts of Breach of Probation and 1 count of Attempt Break and Enter. The man is now awaiting a bail hearing.
Again thanks to neighbors watching out for each other, this crime was prevented.
