The Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit executed two drug warrants in the city just before 9:00 p.m. last night.
The Vice Unit assisted by officers from the Criminal Investigations Branch and Uniform Patrol entered two homes simultaneously on Thursday January 14, 2016 and arrested four people.
One home is located in the 800 block of Exmouth Street and the second is located in the 600 block of Indian Road. The searches revealed evidence of trafficking along with drugs including Fentanyl, cocaine, marihuana, Oxycodone and lorazepam. The drugs had a combined estimated street value of approximately $3,200.00. Officers also seized almost $8,000.00 in currency, brass knuckles and a replica handgun as part of the investigation.
A 26 year old woman residing at the Indian Road address is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon.
A 28 year old man residing at the Indian Road address is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon.
A 27 year old woman residing at the Exmouth Street address is charged with possession of a controlled substance, five counts of breaching probation and possession of a prohibited device.
A 30 year old man residing at the Exmouth Street address is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Three of the arrested persons are being held for bail hearings and one man was released with a date to appear in court.
