The Sarnia Police Service has arrested three women involved at a pipeline protest earlier today.
Just after 8:00 a.m. on Monday December 21, 2015 officers attended an area in the 5000 block of Mandaumin Road which is the eastern boundary of Sarnia. Responding officers located three women inside a small fenced compound belonging to Enbridge Pipeline Incorporated which contained a pipeline valve. The three women had secured themselves to the valve and tampered with equipment contained within the compound. Officers were able to free the women and arrest them.
The women are being held pending a bail hearing. The charges are as follows:
A 28 year old Guelph resident charged with mischief over $5,000.00, mischief endangering life and resist arrest.
A 29 year old Guelph resident charged with mischief over $5,000.00 and mischief endangering life.
A 23 year old Sarnia resident charged with mischief over $5,000.00 and mischief endangering life
