On Sunday May 3, 2015 just before 1:00 a.m. officers with the C.O.P.P.S. unit stopped to speak with a man near Forsyth and Wellington Street. The male was riding the bicycle with no light and when officers approached him the man struck one officer with the bicycle. The 26 year old man then ran from the officers and hid under a trailer located in a back yard on Davis Street. He was located a short time later and arrested. The Sarnia man faces charges including assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, trespassing and two counts of breaching his bail. The man is being held pending a bail hearing.
