Earlier today Sarnia Police issued a press release regarding two stolen dogs.
Upon hearing the broadcast the owner of the dogs contacted police and advised that her dogs had been returned to her yesterday. Apparently, a friend of the owners decided to take the dogs and the complainant’s purse as a prank to “teach her a lesson”.
Unfortunately this is another example of how a childish and foolhardy prank can result in wasted police resources and taxpayer dollars.
