Sex Assault Suspect Sought

The Sarnia Police service is asking for the public’s help to identify a sexual assault suspect.

On Sunday March 1, 2015 at about 8:00 p.m. a 15 year old girl was walking home along Christina Street in the downtown area of the city. Once at Christina and Davis Street she passed a man who was walking in the opposite direction. The man then began following her along Christina Street toward the Sarnia Public Library. He then continued to follow her along Wellington Street. Once on Wellington Street near the Board of Education building between Brock and Vidal Streets the man grabbed her from behind ,covered her mouth with his hand and the assault took place,. The young girl was able to break free and ran to the Sarnia arena for help and police were called.

The suspect is described as white, 5’6″ to 5’7′ tall, thin build, blonde hair, mid-twenties wearing a plaid jacket. The design is described has having large boxes with smaller lines going through the boxes. The suspect appears to have a distinctive walk, walking on his toes.
