Sarnia Police Service arrested a man wanted for numerous charges regarding two violent incidents.
On February 16, 2015 Sarnia Police were called to an address in the 300 block of Kathleen Avenue regarding an assault. The male victim was at home when the suspect entered his residence and struck him with an unknown weapon. The victim required hospital treatment at a London hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police obtained a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.
On February 18, 2015 at about 12:00 p.m. the same suspect confronted a second victim at a residence in the 100 block of Cameron Street. This victim was beaten and robbed of several personal items. The victim was then forced to his car and was being transported to an unknown destination. Fearing for his life the victim jumped from the vehicle and ran to get help and the suspect fled with the car. The victim received treatment at Bluewater Health for non-life threatening injuries.
On February 19, 2015 just before 7:00 p.m. the suspect was arrested in the 800 block of Carlton Place without incident by Criminal Investigation detectives assisted by Patrol officers. The 35 year old suspect is from Sarnia and faces sixteen charges including Robbery, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, assault ,unlawful confinement, possession of a prohibited device, threats to cause death, threats to cause bodily harm, theft over $5,000,possession of stolen property and breaching his probation. The suspect will be held for a bail hearing.
